When we have sex on a one night stand wearing the infamous beer Goggles, we don’t usually fancy the person or want a relationship, (we’re just drunk), and most of all, we definitely don’t want a pregnancy, let alone contract an STD. Although to seduce, we have to gain trust if we want to successfully win them over to get down jiggy with it. This trust if often gained by listening intentively, offering valuable, sensitive support, plus demonstrating how smart you are, so when the time comes you’re both eager to jump in the sack.

On this basis of this, we are going to compare a real life condom, to the no follow tag (link condom).

People leave thousands of blog comments and we don’t trust them 100%, so we add no follow to the tag preventing link sperm (Page Rank) passing. This ensures our site doesn’t develop a GTD (Google Transmitted Disease or website penalisation). However, by allowing honest comments, it shows that we trust them, they’re thoughtful and smart, and that they have added genuine value to our site. And these qualities are all signs of trust. Crappy spam loaded comments would be deleted, right? That is why I speculate that no followed links are still passing TrustRank. At least they show some signs of trust.

Surely the big wig think tank geeks at Google have figured this out!
